Gurkeerat Mann Singh is a young batsman from Faridkot in Punjab. He made his limited-overs debut for Punjab in 2012 and impressed everyone by scoring 236 runs in his first five matches which included a well-made century and a half-century. Inducted into the KXIP squad in IPL 2012, the batsman pulled off a thrilling last-ball victory against Deccan Chargers. He has been a vital cog in Punjab’s lineup in recent times and was bought back by KXIP in 2014. His impressive performances earned him a place in the Indian ODI team. The batsman made his debut against Australia in 2016, but wasn’t amongst runs in the three matches that he played. He will be looking forward to make an impact when he takes the field for KXIP in Vivo IPL 2016.

Gurkeerat Singh’s stocks as an allrounder rose significantly in 2015 through displays of his big-match temperament. He made a match-winning 87 as India A’s finisher in the tri-series final against Australia A in August, and in September his offbreaks raked in a five-for against the touring Bangladesh A side. Gurkeerat carried that form into the 2015-16 Ranji season, striking an unbeaten double-hundred for Punjab against Railways, and in the next match he took a match haul of nine wickets against Andhra. Those performances earned him a berth in India’s Test squad for the home series against South Africa in November-December and at the start of 2016, he was on the plane to Australia with India’s limited-overs squad, and made his ODI debut in Melbourne.

Gurkeerat was first noticed in 2011, when he was part of the Punjab Under-22 side that won the CK Nayudu Trophy. He was signed by Kings XI Punjab following a good showing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2011-12.

In only his second IPL match, Gurkeerat hammered 29 off 12 balls to help Kings XI pull of a thrilling last-ball win against Deccan Chargers. Although released, he was re-signed by Kings XI in 2014 for INR 1.3 crore and has been a part of the franchise since.
